Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Strode
Mary Elizabeth Strode, 89 of Springfield, IL formerly of Carlinville, IL passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Villas West in Sherman, IL.
Mary was born May 9, 1935, in Blyton, IL, a son of Isaiah Luther and Verlie Margaret Emma Freitag Williamson.
Mary graduated from Cuba High School with the class of 1953.
She married Ben R. "Doc" Strode, April 11, 1954.
Mary enjoyed her life raising her three children and children of watching others. She was very active in her church and assisting Doc with his busy life.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2020 and sister, Dorothy Riegle.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, 11:00AM to Noon at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home Carlinville, Illinois.
Funeral Services will be conducted Noon at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Prairie Lawn Cemetery.
